Regarding the Jikei Headquarters Task Force on the Kumamoto Earthquake On confirming that all students are safe and unharmed
To begin, we would like to express our sincere condolences to all of those who fell victim to the Kumamoto Earthquake. Our thoughts are with everyone who has been affected by this disaster.
On Saturday, April 16th, the Jikei Group of Colleges established the “Kyushu Kumamoto Area Earthquake Task Force” and issued instructions to each of the schools in the Fukuoka area to “give priority to confirming that students, faculty and staff members are safe and unharmed, report information on the level of damage to those individuals who have been affected by the earthquake, and report collected information on those students and instructors who require assistance.” As a result, all students, faculty and staff members were reported to be safe and unharmed.
Since aftershocks continue, many factors remain unpredictable. However, until the earthquake subsides, the Jikei Group of Colleges will continue to remain alert, gather information and take the necessary steps in providing support for those in need.
