Message of Sympathy Regarding the Flood and Landslide Disaster Affecting Nepal and China

We are deeply saddened by the devastating floods and landslides that struck the border region between Nepal and China on August 26, 2026, claiming many precious lives and causing widespread and extensive damage.

We extend our deepest condolences to those who lost their lives and offer our heartfelt sympathy to their families, to all those affected by this disaster, and to everyone who continues to face days of uncertainty and anxiety.

At our educational institutions, many international students from Nepal and China have crossed national borders to come together and study alongside one another. As Chairperson of the Jikei Group of Colleges, I am deeply concerned not only for the safety and well-being of our students, but also for their families and all those connected to them who are in the affected regions.

We sincerely pray for the safety of everyone in the affected areas, for the swift recovery and reconstruction of the devastated communities, and for the prompt rescue of those who remain missing.
