Training Course Held for Keimyung College Faculty Members and Administrators

The Jikei Group welcomed 7 administrators and 8 faculty members from Keimyung College for 4 days of training from December 10 to 13 of last year. Located in Daegu, South Korea, Keimyung College is one of the Jikei Group’s educational partner institutions and sends faculty members and administrators to the Jikei Group for training each year as part of our educational partnership agreement.

Keimyung College has embarked on an effort to develop a new curriculum based on the dual aspects of cooperative education with industry and professional education. The Jikei Group has already established curriculums based on these kinds of education, and Keimyung sent the 15-member group to Japan with the goal of learning from the Jikei Group. The delegation from Keimyung College visited 9 Jikei Group colleges in the Tokyo area, exchanging ideas and information about education at each of the Jikei Group schools. The heads of the various departments within the Jikei Group also delivered lectures on how the group approaches student recruitment, education, student counseling, national examination preparation, job placement, and other topics.

Dr. Kunihiko Ukifune, Chairperson of the Jikei Group, gave a special presentation on professional education in the Jikei Group toward the end of the delegation’s stay. The training course concluded with a completion ceremony where Chairperson Ukifune handed out completion certificates to each of the participants.
