The Jikei Group of Colleges was honored to welcome a delegation from Highline Community College in Tokyo on November 12, 2013. Guests included Dr. Jack Bermingham, President of Highline Community College; Dr. Lisa Skari, Vice President; Patti Rosendahl, Executive Assistant to the President; and Madison Gridley, Alumni Coordinator. Accompanying the delegation was Mr. Junki Yoshida, Chairman and CEO of the Yoshida Group and a Member of the Highline CC Foundation, and Dr. Lisa Skari’s daughter, Ms. Camryn Skari.

 

The group visited several Jikei Group schools, including Tokyo Film Center School of Arts and Tokyo Communication Arts, and attended a beauty contest at Tokyo Belle époque College of Beauty where Dr. Bermingham gave an inspirational speech.

 

The delegation also took advantage of the visit to meet with Jikei Group Chairperson Ukifune and school officials to discuss possible future transfer programs between the Jikei Group and Highline Community College.
