Representatives from International Partner Institution Zhejiang Chinese Medical University Announce Scholarship for Dual Admission Program Students and Give Special Lecture

Toyo Medical College has established a dual admission system in the Acupuncturist and Moxibustionist Department with Zhejiang Chinese Medical University, an overseas partner institution located in China. Zhejiang will recognize the classes that students take at Toyo and award credits at the university.   Under the new system, students from Toyo will be able to travel to China upon graduation and receive a further two years of specialized education in the university’s Acupuncture and Moxibustion Department after first studying Chinese for six months. Keito Miyajima, associate director for Actland Yao at the Yao Municipal Ohatayama Youth Outdoor Activity Center, where students from Osaka ECO Animal and Ocean College conduct field work, was featured in the Sankei Shimbun newspaper series Professional Job. Miyajima graduated from Osaka Communication Arts ECO (currently Osaka ECO Animal and Ocean College) in 2003, majoring in wild animal conservation. Earthquake Task Force Reports No Injuries Among Students and Faculty Members from Hokkaido Earthquake

Friday, February 22, 9 AM   No students or faculty members at the Hokkaido-area colleges were injured and no buildings sustained damage in the earthquake that occurred at 9:22 PM on February 21. The earthquake, registering a lower 6 on the Japanese seismic scale, originated in the Iburi region of Hokkaido. Fukuoka ECO Animal and Ocean College held its Animal School for Kids on August 5, where children can interact with animals. Osaka College of High Technology created the first Experiment Skills Competition to help improve the research topics and content in high school clubs such as biology and other science-related clubs. The interim reporting session was held at Osaka College of High Technology on August 7. The Jikei Group of Colleges’ Jikei Space Inc. completed remodeling work for Ryugu no Tsukai Spa & Resort, an Asian resort-style hotel in the Town of Higashi Izu in Shizuoka Prefecture and reopened the facility to the public on August 3.
